Description

Air Fryer Garlic Flatbread is a quick and delicious twist on a classic flatbread. Made with aromatic garlic, fresh herbs, and cooked in an air fryer for a crispy texture, this flatbread is perfect as an appetizer, snack, or side dish.

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup Greek yogurt

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the Greek yogurt and mix until a dough forms.
  2. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until smooth.
  3. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll each into a ball. Flatten each ball into a round flatbread shape using a rolling pin.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, fresh parsley, dried oregano, and black pepper.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Brush each flatbread generously with the garlic and herb oil mixture.
  7. Place the flatbreads in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they don’t overlap. Air fry for 5–7 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  8. Remove the flatbreads from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a denser texture, use whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour.
  • For a cheesy twist, add grated Parmesan or mozzarella to the garlic oil mixture before brushing it on the flatbreads.
  • To make the recipe vegan, replace Greek yogurt with plant-based yogurt and ensure the olive oil is used for cooking.
