Description
Air Fryer Garlic Flatbread is a quick and delicious twist on a classic flatbread. Made with aromatic garlic, fresh herbs, and cooked in an air fryer for a crispy texture, this flatbread is perfect as an appetizer, snack, or side dish.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the Greek yogurt and mix until a dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until smooth.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll each into a ball. Flatten each ball into a round flatbread shape using a rolling pin.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, fresh parsley, dried oregano, and black pepper.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush each flatbread generously with the garlic and herb oil mixture.
- Place the flatbreads in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they don’t overlap. Air fry for 5–7 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- Remove the flatbreads from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a denser texture, use whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour.
- For a cheesy twist, add grated Parmesan or mozzarella to the garlic oil mixture before brushing it on the flatbreads.
- To make the recipe vegan, replace Greek yogurt with plant-based yogurt and ensure the olive oil is used for cooking.
