Description

This baked Cajun salmon is a quick, healthy, and flavorful dish featuring boldly seasoned salmon fillets topped with a creamy avocado lime sauce. Perfect for weeknight dinners or entertaining guests, it’s vibrant, nourishing, and restaurant-worthy.

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin-on or skinless)

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 ripe avocado

1 lime, juiced

¼ cup Greek yogurt

1 clove garlic, minced

Salt, to taste

Fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat salmon fillets dry, drizzle with olive oil, and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place salmon on a lined baking sheet with space between each fillet.
  4. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until salmon is flaky and cooked through.
  5. While the salmon bakes, blend avocado, lime juice, Greek yogurt, garlic, and salt until smooth and creamy.
  6. Plate the salmon, drizzle with avocado lime sauce, and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.

Notes

  • Use smoked paprika and garlic powder for a milder flavor.
  • Add hot sauce to the avocado sauce for extra heat.
  • Serve over rice, quinoa, or greens for a complete meal.
  • Swap Greek yogurt with sour cream or a vegan alternative.
  • Refrigerate leftover sauce with plastic wrap pressed on the surface to prevent browning.
