Description

Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bites are bite-sized pieces of cinnamon rolls dipped in an egg mixture and cooked to golden perfection, offering a delicious twist on classic French toast with a sweet and crispy finish.

Ingredients

1 can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)

2 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons butter

Powdered sugar (optional, for serving)

Maple syrup or icing from the cinnamon rolls (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Pop open the can of cinnamon rolls and set the included icing aside. Slice each roll into small, bite-sized chunks.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth and well combined.
  3. Gently dip each cinnamon roll piece into the egg mixture, making sure all sides are evenly coated.
  4. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the coated bites and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Remove from the pan and arrange on a serving plate. Drizzle with the reserved icing or warm maple syrup, and dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

  • Add fresh berries such as strawberries or blueberries for a fruity contrast to the sweet cinnamon flavor.
  • For added crunch, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts on top before serving.
  • Mix a pinch of nutmeg or cloves into the egg mixture for extra flavor.
  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free cinnamon rolls.
