For the Apple Filling: 2 cups chopped apples (peeled and cored; Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), 1 tsp lemon juice
Optional: Chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans), crumble topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

- Cream the softened butter and sugars together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Gently fold in the prepared apple filling, ensuring the apple pieces are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve warm.
