Description

Ingredients

8 ounces penne pasta

1 pound ground Italian sausage

2 cups heavy cream

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups chopped fresh spinach

1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped


Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the heavy cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Stir in the chopped spinach and sun-dried tomatoes, cooking until the spinach wilts.
  6. Return the cooked sausage to the skillet and mix well.
  7. Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
