Description

Crispy Parmesan Chicken with a rich garlic sauce features golden, crunchy chicken breasts served with a creamy and savory garlic sauce. Perfect for a quick dinner, this dish combines crispy chicken and a luscious, garlicky sauce that pairs beautifully with pasta, roasted vegetables, or mashed potatoes.


Ingredients

For the Chicken:

4 small to medium chicken breasts (or 2 large halved)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

34 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup light cream or heavy cream

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning or oregano

1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

1 cup spinach, chopped (optional)


Instructions

  1. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for about 30 seconds, allowing the garlic to become fragrant. Add the cream to the skillet, stirring continuously. Then, mix in the Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy. If using spinach, add it at this point and simmer the sauce for 2-3 minutes until the spinach has wilted.
  3. Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the creamy garlic sauce over the top. Let it simmer for another minute to heat everything through. Remove from heat and serve hot with pasta, roasted vegetables, or mashed potatoes.

Notes

For extra crunch, coat the chicken in a mix of Parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs before frying for an even crispier texture.

To add spice, sprinkle red pepper flakes into the garlic sauce.

Stir in sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, or zucchini for added flavor and nutrition.

For a thicker sauce, simmer the cream longer or add a tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with water.
