Ingredients
6 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon grated ginger
20–25 wontons (store-bought or homemade)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup bok choy, chopped
½ cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
¼ cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine chicken broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Add wontons to the simmering broth and cook until they float to the surface and are cooked through, about 5–7 minutes.
- Stir in chopped bok choy and sliced mushrooms (if using). Cook until vegetables are tender, about 2–3 minutes.
- Ladle soup into bowls and garnish generously with chopped green onions. Serve immediately.
