Ingredients
1 package (about 16 oz) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp salt
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 12×8 inches and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt. Brush half of this garlic butter mixture evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the buttered dough.
- Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, slice the dough into breadstick-sized strips, about 1 to 1.5 inches wide.
- Brush the remaining garlic butter over the top of the cheese.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the breadsticks are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- For a crispier crust, bake the breadsticks a couple of minutes longer, watching carefully to avoid burning.
- You can add red pepper flakes for a bit of spice.
- These breadsticks are great served with marinara or ranch dipping sauce.
