Description
Homemade Peach Lemonade is a refreshing, sweet, and tangy summer drink made with ripe peaches, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and a hint of sugar. Perfect for any occasion, it’s quick to make and ideal for keeping cool on hot days.
Ingredients
4 ripe peaches, pitted and chopped
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
4 cups cold water
Ice cubes
Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine chopped peaches, granulated sugar, and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 5-7 minutes until the sugar dissolves and peaches soften.
- Let the mixture cool for about 10 minutes, then blend it until smooth using a blender.
- Pour the peach puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher, pressing down to extract as much liquid as possible.
- Add freshly squeezed lemon juice and 4 cups cold water to the pitcher. Stir well to combine, and taste for sweetness. Add more sugar if desired.
- Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 1 hour. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves, if desired.
Notes
- For a spicy twist, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or jalapeño slices.
- Infuse the lemonade with herbs like basil or rosemary for a fragrant touch.
- For a berry variation, add fresh strawberries or raspberries.
- Mix in brewed iced tea for a Peach Iced Tea Lemonade.
- For a lower-sugar version, use honey or agave syrup instead of sugar.
