Ingredients
1 pound extra large shrimp, peeled and deveined
¼ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
4 cloves garlic, freshly minced
2 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
1 tbsp olive oil
1 ½ cups white wine
¼ cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1 stick unsalted butter, at room temperature
2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and 1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning.
- Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side, flipping until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
- Pour in white wine and lemon juice to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer the sauce for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in butter and the remaining Old Bay Seasoning, cooking until the butter melts into the sauce.
- Return shrimp to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.
For a more citrusy flavor, increase lemon juice and add lemon zest.
Double the garlic for an even more intense garlic flavor.
For a vegetarian version, substitute shrimp with mushrooms or plant-based shrimp.
Use a dry white wine like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, or Pinot Grigio for best results.
