Description

Red Lobster Shrimp Scampi features perfectly cooked shrimp in a buttery, garlicky sauce with lemon and white wine. This flavorful dish is easy to make and perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a special occasion.

Ingredients

1 pound extra large shrimp, peeled and deveined

¼ tsp black pepper

½ tsp salt

4 cloves garlic, freshly minced

2 tsp Old Bay Seasoning

1 tbsp olive oil

1 ½ cups white wine

¼ cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed

1 stick unsalted butter, at room temperature

2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley

Freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and 1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning.
  3. Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side, flipping until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
  5. Pour in white wine and lemon juice to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits.
  6. Reduce heat to low and simmer the sauce for about 5 minutes.
  7. Stir in butter and the remaining Old Bay Seasoning, cooking until the butter melts into the sauce.
  8. Return shrimp to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
  9. Garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.

For a more citrusy flavor, increase lemon juice and add lemon zest.

Double the garlic for an even more intense garlic flavor.

For a vegetarian version, substitute shrimp with mushrooms or plant-based shrimp.

Use a dry white wine like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, or Pinot Grigio for best results.
