Description

A decadent twist on classic banana bread, combining the comforting flavors of ripe bananas with creamy peanut butter, melted Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and crunchy Reese’s Pieces. A perfect indulgence for any occasion.

Ingredients

3 ripe bananas, mashed

½ cup creamy peanut butter

⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

½ cup milk (or buttermilk for extra richness)

1 cup chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

½ cup Reese’s Pieces (optional for extra crunch & color)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mash the bananas, then mix in the peanut butter, melted butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with milk, mixing until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Reese’s Pieces (if using).
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. (Optional) Melt ¼ cup peanut butter and drizzle it over the cooled bread for extra goodness.

Notes

  • Gluten-free version: Substitute the all-purpose flour with a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend to make this recipe gluten-free.
  • Dairy-free: Use non-dairy milk (like almond milk) and replace the butter with a dairy-free alternative, such as coconut oil or margarine.
  • More peanut butter: For even more peanut butter flavor, swirl additional peanut butter into the batter before baking, or add extra peanut butter chips.
  • Add chocolate chips: If you’re a fan of chocolate, try adding some semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips along with the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
