Description

Sizzling Steak Fajitas are the perfect blend of savory, tangy, and spicy flavors. Marinated steak, sautéed bell peppers, and onions are served in warm tortillas with your favorite toppings for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

1 ½ lbs flank or skirt steak, thinly sliced

3 tablespoons olive oil

Juice of 2 limes

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon chili powder

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 large onion, sliced

4 small flour tortillas

Optional toppings: avocado, sour cream, salsa, shredded cheese, cilantro

Instructions

  1. Marinate steak: Combine the marinade ingredients—olive oil, lime juice, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper—in a bowl. Add the thinly sliced steak and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for even more flavor.
  2. Cook steak: Preheat a grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, cook the marinated steak slices for 3-4 minutes per side or until they reach your desired doneness. Set aside and keep warm.
  3. Sauté peppers and onions: In the same pan, add the bell peppers and onions. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they become tender and slightly charred.
  4. Assemble fajitas: Warm the flour tortillas in a dry pan or microwave. Serve the cooked steak with the sautéed peppers and onions on the warm tortillas. Add your favorite toppings, such as avocado, sour cream, salsa, shredded cheese, or fresh cilantro.

Notes

For a leaner option, swap ground beef for ground turkey or chicken.

Add bell peppers, olives, or spinach for more vegetables.

If you don’t like feta, try goat cheese, mozzarella, or Parmesan.

Add red pepper flakes or a diced chili pepper for some heat.
