Description

Sweet Cinnamon Twists are golden, flaky puff pastries filled with a gooey cinnamon-sugar center. Easy to make and irresistibly delicious, they’re perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet treat any time of day.

Puff pastry

Granulated sugar

Ground cinnamon

Butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry to 1/8 inch thick on a floured surface.
  3. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix equal parts sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Brush the melted butter onto the puff pastry, then generously sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it.
  6. Cut the dough into 1-inch strips, twist each strip, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, roll the puff pastry thin and brush butter generously before adding the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Substitute butter with dairy-free margarine for a dairy-free version.
