Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry to 1/8 inch thick on a floured surface.
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix equal parts sugar and cinnamon.
- Brush the melted butter onto the puff pastry, then generously sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it.
- Cut the dough into 1-inch strips, twist each strip, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, roll the puff pastry thin and brush butter generously before adding the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Substitute butter with dairy-free margarine for a dairy-free version.
- Freezing unbaked twists is a great option for later. Bake directly from frozen with added time.
