Ingredients

360g (12 ⅔ oz) thin-cut beef steaks

4 tablespoons plain flour

2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil

1 red pepper, sliced into matchsticks

2 carrots, sliced into matchsticks

200g (7 oz) dried pasta, cooked according to package instructions

For the Sauce:

120g (½ cup) oyster sauce

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons sriracha sauce

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

3 cloves garlic, minced

Juice of 1 lime


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef: Place the flour in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Slice the beef into strips, cutting across the grain to keep it tender. Dust the beef with the seasoned flour.
  2. Cook the Pasta: Boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Vegetables: Slice the carrots and red pepper into matchstick lengths for even cooking.
  4. Mix the Sauce: In a small bowl, combine the oyster sauce, soy sauce, sriracha sauce, minced ginger, minced garlic, and lime juice. Set aside.
  5. Cook the Beef and Vegetables: Heat a non-stick frying pan over high heat and add the oil. Once hot, sear the beef strips for about 2 minutes per side. Add the sliced pepper and carrots and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
