Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups marinara sauce
6 cups chicken broth
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup shredded parmesan cheese, plus extra for garnish
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
- Stir in marinara sauce, chicken broth, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Add broken lasagna noodles to the pot, cooking for about 8–10 minutes, until tender.
- Stir in shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheeses until melted and creamy.
- Adjust seasoning to taste. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and additional parmesan cheese.
